Key Learning Outcomes

The graduates of Philosophy Departments and of Philosophy Group Teaching Programmes registered to the Philosophical Counseling Master Programme (without thesis) that thought to be serving as Philosophical Counselor are expected to have the qualifications / competencies below:

1. Being able to see the relations among happenings via Socratic Method within the cause-effect relations.
2. Being able to analyze the problems of the world of living.
3. They interiorize critical and rigorous thinking as method.
4. Help and guide their counselee in order to improve their capabilities of understanding, analyzing, and interpretation.
5. In their analysis of human problems especially in the context of sense-making, they use the philosophical discourses of Philosophers as being opinion leaders and apply these discourses in the life practice.
6. They make simplifying contributions to one’s acquisition of knowledge equipment in order to know oneself and others.
7. They guide one’s understanding oneself both as an individual and as a value creating person and as a citizen.
8. They help, via sample cases, counselee in achieving sentience of problems of individual, of society and of world, and thus in seeing that positing merely themselves in the center is insufficient for seeing and solving the problems.
9. They interiorize human rights as a guide for their actions.
10. For they acquire the capability to present effectively, verbally and written, the solutions that are produced in an intellectual medium, they are able to reflect their competencies in this context to their counselees.
11. Being able to use the competencies, which they acquire in the context of knowledge and skill theoretically and practically, in order to guide their counselees.
12. They are able to realize their competencies concerning area of knowledge depending on ‘’ethical perspective’’ and considering ‘’the knowledge of value’’ through a correct communication with their counselees; they are able to use language properly in verbal and printed media.
13. Being able to grasp the importance the relations among ‘’existing, living, understanding, sense-making, tell’’ for the humane world and in this context guide their counselees.
14.Getting prepared to be the persons serving the society, public life, briefly humanity in order to form and persist ‘’a humanely world’’.
15. They interiorize human rights as the fundamental principle of action, yield persons and institutions to acquire sentience concerning human rights.
